Well done Faringdon Beavers

Congratulations to Falcon Beaver Colony, Faringdon. Who won the first ever County Shelter Box Challenge in Oxford today, for the Beaver Scout section. They also won the most challenge points too! Farming Beavers

For their latest District activity in March, the Beavers had a day out at Roves Farm near Swindon. They didn’t manage to see any Beaver animals, but they did have a great time feeding lambs, stroking pigs and climbing and sliding on the activities.

The Silver Beaver Colony from Grove Scout Group held a coffee morning on Saturday 12th March, in the Grove Scout hut. Winter challenge

Just under 1000 Scouts from across Oxfordshire took part in the County Winter Challenge on Saturday 7th February.  The Winter Challenge being an 18 mile and a 9 mile hike along the Ridgeway. All the Scouts were up before the sunrise on Saturday to be at Fox Hill to start their hike.

Beaver scouts and their families from King Alfred District were out on the downs on Sunday 19th October for a 7km Autumn Hike. Horley campsite was transformed into  a Space Odyssey  with  over 1400 Beavers, leaders and parents having  a great weekend   camping.
